Kilimanjaro Food

All our food is hygienically prepared and we provide unlimited safe drinking water. Importantly, we can cater to most special dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, celiac as well as other dietary requirements. We have trained cooks who prepare all meals on the climb.

Our meals are cooked with the freshest seasonal produce. All fruit and vegetables and most of the meat that we use are purchased from the local markets in Arusha. For all treks of over 6 days in length, we have an extra porter bring fresh food to the camp for our use. The sample menu below is for climbers with no special dietary requests or restrictions.

Breakfast
A typical breakfast is commonly eggs, toast or pancakes, sausages, and fruit along with a variety of hot beverages like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and Milo.

Main Courses Lunch & Dinner
To start your meal you will be offered a soup such as a pumpkin, zucchinis, leeks or mixed vegetables with bread, this is followed by a dish of fish, chicken or beef stew and fresh vegetables served with pasta, potatoes, or rice and sauces.
