Your guide knows very well on how to locate the herds. Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’ of more than one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras each year.
In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north southwards to the plains, seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds then make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that will not fail to enthrall. After having breakfast, you will experience a game drive following the animal migration at the Northern Serengeti. Usually, in July , August and beginning of November, the migration reaches its northern range in which the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River twice, as they complete their migration. You will also be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 18:20 – 18:40 after the game drive before returning and staying overnight aat AfticannMikaesa tented Lodge in Northern in Northern Serengeti F/BAccommodations at Lobo wildlife lodge F/B
